Geoff Osman formed South West Industrial Drives Center in December 1997, in response to a demand from local businesses for quality control systems design, installation and troubleshooting, without paying the high costs that can come with a larger corporate company but increasing the quality of service given.

South West Industrial Drive Center have a policy of only using the most conscientious engineers and as such can assure their customers of the best quality of work and support. This goes hand in hand with the marketing strategy to date we have only used word of mouth recommendations.

In 1999 Emma Osman was brought on board to manage the company and allow growth and she is the customer facing side to the company, any enquiries will be headed up by Emma to ensure a personal and swift service.

In 2005 SWIDC broadened the field of development to include programmable logic control (PLC) software with complete panel packages. We also acquired the services of out site PLC and software consultants.

In 2003 SWIDC became a Limited Company.
